A day after it was first reported, a middleweight contest between Anderson Silva and Uriah Hall has been made official for UFC 198.
Set for May 14 from Brazil, the event already features Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic for the UFC heavyweight title, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza vs. Vitor Belfort and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. Corey Anderson.
Silva (33-7) is 0-3 with one no-contest over his last four fights, but many believed he defeated Michael Bisping in their recent contest. His last official win came in 2012 when he finished Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153 in Brazil.
Hall (12-6) was topped by Robert Whittaker in November, dropping him to 5-2 over his last seven. In 2015, he competed five times, putting together a 3-2 mark.
