Uriah Hall made a name for himself with several highlight-reel wins during his run to the finals of The Ultimate Fighter.
He’ll have to clear space on that track for another finish – and this one is the best yet.
Hall scored a second round TKO over former Strikeforce champion Gegard Mousasi Saturday night at UFC Fight Night 75. He stepped in on short notice as a replacement for Roan Carneiro and was a heavy underdog.
The 31-year-old has now won two in a row and five of his last six overall, including four knockout finishes. After Hall landed with his “favorite kick,” he said it was “simple” from there on out.
“I knew I lost the first round, so I had to time (Mousasi) and capitalize,” he said. “With my karate background, it is all about timing.”
His calm-cool-collective attitude paid off, as Hall said “the best way to get mean shit out of me is to put me against a wall and you’ll find out.”
For Mousasi (37-5-2), the loss snapped a two-fight win streak and was the first time he had been finished by strikes in his 44-bout career.
